About the role:

 

In this key leadership role within the Construction Business Unit of our Transport Services team, you’re working alongside the Regional Construction Manager in providing operational support for our team of Project Managers, including resourcing, tendering and building relationships with key clients whilst maintaining sustainable growth and excellence in delivery.

 

Your focus will be to promote and drive:

  • Our strategic business development in the areas of Roading, Civil and Structures
  • Construction best practice across the region
  • Development of construction capability within the Project Management team
  • A more risk management approach to Contract delivery
  • Staff development and succession
  • Tendering reviews and methodology support

 

About you:

 

As an experienced Construction Manager, you’ll bring with you a proven record of putting people first through providing decisive and inclusive leadership to your teams and the wider business. In addition you’ll also have:

  • Strategic planning skills, focused on delivering BAU with excellence whilst growing our market
  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification
  • Strong communication skills including the ability to build and maintain relationships
  • Demonstrated capability in regards to financial and performance management
  • Extensive construction experience in delivering contracts including demonstrated capability in tendering, commercial acumen, project controls, programme management and resource planning.
