About the role:


As a Quantity Surveyor, you will need to be commercially focused and have experience in QS/financial management of infrastructure projects, preferably within civil engineering contracting organisations. High levels of attention to detail, an ability to understand contracts and their intricacies, along with a commitment to high levels of client service are essential for this role.


The ideal candidate will have extensive civil infrastructure experience along with sound practical project experience and be highly responsive and appreciate the need to move quickly.


 About you:


To be successful in this role we are looking for the following skills and attributes:

  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Experience in the procurement and management of suppliers and sub-contractors
  • High level of computer literacy including the use of Jobpac software
  • Strong communication skills both orally and written
  • Experience in cost monitoring and reporting
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as being part of a wider team
  • Solid conditions of contract administration experience and understanding including the development of early warning notices, variations, extensions of time claims, disruption claims and similar and following these through to a successful outcome.
  • Beneficial to have NEC conditions of contract exposure or similar.
  • Knowledge of NZS3910 an advantage
  • Experienced in interaction with clients and client teams and working collaboratively towards successful outcomes for all parties
  • Strong Risk identification and management skills
  • Excellent ability to build internal and external relationships
  • Problem solving ability; with a wider strategic overview
