Wellington has been voted the most liveable city in the world – not once, but twice!
To get a sense of what Wellington and New Zealand have to offer, go to New Zealand NOW and Life in Wellington – WellingtonNZ
The Treasury is an Accredited Employer with NZ Immigration which streamlines the process of obtaining a NZ work visa.
We’ve put together a Relocation Guide to capture some key insights for you about your potential move.
Rachael: “The New Zealand Treasury may be a fraction of the size of its UK counterpart, but it is often at the forefront of global developments and provides the opportunity to work on wide-ranging and fascinating policy questions. The fact that the office is a stone’s throw away from the waterfront and surrounded by beautiful hills to climb are an added bonus!“
Tamara: “Work life balance actually exists in New Zealand. The move to NZ and my role at the Treasury has allowed me to continue to develop, whilst real flexibility allows me to spend time with my family. NZ is an awesome country with a personality and an endless list of things to do. Wellington offers all the benefits of living in a big city without any of the hassles and my family all wish we had made the move sooner!“
Ken:”Come to New Zealand if you want the great outdoors, amazing coffee and wonderful people all in one place.“
Angus:”We’ve loved moving to New Zealand. Wellington is a fantastic city, full of culture and food, with vineyards, mountains and the great outdoors on our doorstep. On top of that, the Treasury has been a great place to work. Being in a smaller organisation makes a big change to the UK Civil Service – we have opportunities to engage in a much broader range of policy issues than we would have in the UK.”
