Position: Trades & Services, Electrical Linesperson

Our client is looking for a number of experienced technical staff to fill a number of roles at various locations within their network area.

Our client is one of the larger provincially based lines companies in New Zealand. Their network services 105,000 connections covering 11,000 square kilometres.

They are looking for a number of experienced technical staff for a number of roles at various locations within their network area.

They have the following specific roles for qualified and experienced persons:-

  • Electrical Fitter (Registered). The role is to provide safe, reliable and cost effective construction, erection, repair, assembly, maintenance and modification of all classes of electrical apparatus used in the generation and distribution of electricity.

  • Faultsperson. To provide 24 hour/7 days a week fault response in a safe and efficient manner, to organise and oversee the necessary resources to achieve this and carry out all related switching.

  • Line Mechanic (Glove & Barrier). To install any new and repair any existing high voltage equipment and services using the necessary “glove and barrier” methodology.

  • Line Mechanic (General). To install any new and repair any existing high voltage equipment and services (overhead and underground) using the appropriate “de-energised” methodology.

  • Technician. To attend to the technical aspects of the company’s Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.

    The company is very receptive to employing appropriately suited persons from the UK and in this regard we will be able to undertake on their behalf face to face interviews from 11th to the 17th July.
