If you have qualifications and experience in a job area that’s on the Long Term Skills Shortage List (LTSSL) then you may be able to quality for a New Zealand work visa and permit under the Work to Residence policy.
The LTSSL shows the occupations that have ongoing and critical shortages of skilled workers, as well as the qualifications and/or experience you need.
If you’re applying for New Zealand residency under the Skilled Migrant Category and have a job offer, qualification and/or work experience in one of these occupations you’ll gain points towards your Skilled Migrant Application.
The LTSSL is updated twice a year.
You can download the latest LTSSL (updated 28 July 2008) here in PDF format.
