Why move here?
It’s the quality of lifestyle that sets the Bay of Plenty apart! In a country renowned for its natural beauty, the Bay of Plenty is one of the most picturesque places in New Zealand. The region offers space and peace, along with world-class surfing beaches, bush-clad mountains, beautiful rivers and natural thermal pools – all minutes from the city centre.
With a stunning harbour and pristine coastline, water-based activities such as sailing, fishing, surfing and swimming are popular. Homes are affordable, you can live minutes away from work and the climate produces lush, plentiful gardens.
Comments from a recent recruit:
“I moved to New Zealand in 2005. Coming over with my partner and three children, we were keen to have a year’s experience of living here. In our case we loved New Zealand so much we decided to stay long term.
Living and working here is an experience well worth having for whatever length of time. Imagine finishing work and within 10 minutes finding yourself sitting on one of the most beautiful beaches in New Zealand – Mount Maunganui.
My children have all benefited from the education system here. Schools are all well-resourced with huge green playing fields which are viewed as community owned so can be used after school has closed. There is so much to see and do, and the variety is such that in one day you can be on the beach in sunshine, walking amongst bubbling hot mud pools and geysers, followed by skiing in the snowy mountains.”
