Navman Technology NZ is one of the pioneers in the GPS navigation industry with a proven track record of quality products dating back to 1987. We develop state of the art software, which is used in our portable navigation products. The Navman and Mio brands are established throughout the world. Our parent company, MiTAC International, is one of the largest manufacturers of portable navigation devices and is also one of Business Week’s top 100 Global IT companies.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for talented and enthusiastic people to join our team. We hire across the range of experience levels (junior through senior) but all prospective candidates should have good knowledge of the base skills for the role and be able to hit the ground running. Demonstrable talent can make up for a lack of specific knowledge or experience.

We are looking for talented and enthusiastic people to join our team.

We are particularly interested in hearing from people with experience in the following:

  • C and/or C++ code
  • Complex algorithms and heuristics
  • Programming within embedded or resource-constrained platforms
  • Scripting languages (particularly Perl)
  • Windows CE and Visual Studio 2005
  • Code optimisation and memory/performance tuning
  • Database schemas, SQL
  • Object-oriented design principles and applying these to real-world problems.
  • Quality practices, automated testing, build scripts and source tree management.
  • Developing platform independent code using Windows and Linux systems
