Truck Stops is one of the largest nationwide suppliers of commercial vehicle parts and workshop services to the road transport industry in New Zealand. Truck Stops operates a chain of 14 service centres specialising in supplying parts and workshop service for trucks and trailers. The company is the authorised service agent for Mack (America), Renault (France),Hino (Japan) and ERF (England). While specialising in servicing these franchise vehicles, other brands of commercial vehicles are also serviced.
Locations
Our head office is located in Palmerston North. We have branches throughout New Zealand in Whangarei, Auckland, Hamilton, Mt Maunganui, Rotorua, Taupo, Napier, Wellington,Christchurch, Dunedin and Invercargill.
Number of employees
We employ approximately 250 staff, comprising of 110 qualified diesel mechanics, 35 apprentice mechanics, 70 staff working in the area of parts and 35 employees who work in administration.

Who we are
We are a member of the Truck Investments Group. Other members are Motor Truck Distributors (NZ) Ltd (importers and retailers of Mack and Renault trucks) and Hino Distributors (NZ) Ltd (importers and retailers of Hino Trucks from Japan). The two sales companies have approximately 25% market share of the medium and heavy duty new vehicle market. These sales of new vehicles ensure an ongoing source of work for our branches.

Truck Stops was established in 1983 and has expanded rapidly over the years to meet the ever-growing demand for fast and efficient commercial vehicle servicing. Customer service has been the key to our company’s growth.
